Dinner at the Oasis

When Gram B and Poppa came to visit, we went to dinner at The Oasis. It is an outside restaurant in Austin known as "The Sunset Capital of Texas."

What a view!
A natural born model!
Too cloudy for a colorful sunset, but still beautiful!

Mean Squirrel

We have a squirrel that lives in our backyard that likes to torment our sweet precious kitties! He actually goes up to the window and heckles Okie and Oreo. He also loves to eat all of the bird food. Here is some evidence of his unfriendly actions!

Green Beans

States did so well with the rice cereal that he finally got to try some new foods. At first he didn't like the green beans, but towards the end he decided that they were really yummy!

YUCK!!!
YUMMY!!!

OSU Wrestler

States just loves those Cowboys!!!

Trees are a blooming

Our trees are finally getting their leaves back. One of the reasons we bought this house was for all of the mature trees that were on the lot. They sure do help in the heat!

Trip to the Rodeo

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Rodeo Austin which is a rodeo and fair. States enjoyed the "cowboy" atmosphere, but not the Austin heat!

Swim Lessons!

States and I have added another weekly activity to our schedule! We are taking swim lessons at a local swim school. We started this last Wednesday! I was a little nervous that he wouldn't like them and would scream and cry. Boy was I wrong! States is a natural born fish. He smiled from the time we got into the pool until we got out. I think it helped that the pool water was 82 degrees. States also thought it was funny that his Momma's hair turned a shade of celery green from the experience :)

States on a water board learning about water motion!
States learning how to float on his back!
States getting reading to jump in the pool!
A successful jump!

Big Bathtub

States took his first big boy bath!!! Daddy and Oreo decided that they couldn't let States have all the fun!

An afternoon at the park

States' favorite place to go in the afternoons is to the park with his Momma and Daddy! Last week he went down the slide for the very first time. He is such a brave boy!

New Playroom!

States is getting so many toys now that he needed his own playroom. It is located in what should be our formal living room, but who needs one of those! States loves his new colorful mat and his Momma and Daddy loved putting it together! Can you spy States amongst his toys?!

Brushing his new teeth!

States is finally getting some teeth! Therefore, now he has to brush! He loves the finger toothbrush and the yummy toothpaste.

First Restaurant High Chair

States sat in his first restaurant high chair at the one-and-only Long John Silver's! YUMMY!

First Solids!

States finally had his first taste of solids this last Saturday. He really didn't like the rice cereal the first time he had it, but since then he eats it all up! He is such a good boy!

Library "Lapsit"

States and I enjoy going to Lapsit at the library once a week. We have a blast singing, reading, and playing with the other moms and children.
